This policy explains how Skye Saker Food handles personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What I collect and why

  • Enquiries and bookings. When you use the enquiry form, email or WhatsApp, I receive the details you send, such as your name, email address, phone number, dates, location, number of guests and your message. I use them to reply, plan your menu and manage your booking.
  • Dietary needs and allergies. If you tell me about allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements for you or your guests, I use that information only to cook safely for you, and I don't share it with anyone else.
  • Supper club list. If you join the list to hear about future supper club dates, I use your contact details to tell you about upcoming evenings. You can ask to be removed at any time.
  • Payments. For bookings, I keep the details needed to issue invoices and record deposits and payments, as required by Swiss accounting rules.

Services that help run this website

  • Wix. This website and its forms are hosted by Wix.com Ltd. Form submissions are stored in my Wix account, and Wix may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to run and secure the site. Wix may use technically necessary cookies. Wix stores data on servers in several countries, including the USA.
  • Google Fonts. The fonts on this website are loaded from Google's servers, which means your IP address is sent to Google when you visit.
  • WhatsApp and email. If you contact me by WhatsApp (operated by Meta) or email (Google Gmail), your messages are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies.
  • Instagram and Facebook. Links to my social media pages only connect you to those platforms when you click them.

I don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and I don't sell or rent personal data. Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under Swiss law, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep data

I keep enquiry and booking details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or booking, and invoices and payment records for 10 years as required by Swiss law. Supper club list details are kept until you ask to be removed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, at any time by emailing skyesaker@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to your local data protection authority if you live in the EU.
